oversized Obey print

I'm kind of in love with this new print from Shepard Fairey of Obey. I think it's absolutely stunning, but at an edition of 50 and price tag of $600, I don't think I'll be getting my hands on one any time soon.

just an owl girl...

Thought I'd share another of my newest art prints. My boss asked if it was a self portrait. Perhaps it is! I often like to take walks in rain boots and an owl poncho. How did she know?

Crafty Conan

So did anyone see Conan two nights ago? It was probably one of the funniest late night moments I've ever seen. Andy Richter pointed out a young woman who was either sporting a fake beard or was afflicted with a disfiguring skin condition. Turns out it was the fake beard. A homemade yarn beard, to be exact, which Conan promptly modeled over his real beard. Score one for the crafting community!
One of these days I'll be able to keep my eyes open long enough to see past his monologue.

pin 'em up

I've been extraordinarily neglectful of blogging lately. It's not without good cause, though. I've been working on several projects, as well as ramping up for a print swap that I'm attending on friday. The swap is such a fun concept. You show up to the event, armed with three different prints of your original artwork. They all get pinned up, numbers are drawn, and everyone picks—in order—their favorite prints off the wall.

Getting an awesome piece to add to your collection is as exciting as it is to meet new artists and see who ends up with your art. I've generated a couple of pieces of new art this week. I'm not for sure these are the ones I'll be bringing, but I thought I'd share them.
